2016 Personal Goals

This post was not planned. However, there is a lot I want to achieve this year. A lot more than any year before it. Therefore, I thought it would be beneficial to make a little space online that I can refer back to that includes my goals and ambitions for 2016. This will also make it easier to reflect at the end of the year to see how well I did!

  • Pass my SVQ3
This is the qualification I have 6 months to complete
  • Learn to drive
If I have to move job at the end of this contract it would be super helpful to have a license due to where I live
  • Start saving for a property
I currently stay in a flat that I rent and would like to save a small bit each month for when I buy a property whether it is a flat or a house.
  • Write
    Just keep writing, writing, writing!
  • Keep up with friends more
I recently met up with my friend who stays in England that I never see. I also have been chatting to a few old friends. It has been great for my mood and such fun. I want to keep in touch more often. Even if it’s just a call once a month!
  • Go outside more
I have been cooped up a little too much recently which is not healthy for the mind or body. Even if it’s a ten minute walk a few streets down and back it needs to be done. I stay somewhere with lovely trails and views so I have no excuse.
  • Eat healthier
I asked for a blender for Christmas to make some smoothies as an easy way to get my five a day at once. After I finish all that Christmas chocolate of course 😉

I hope to do a post to address each of these goals this time next year to see how I did. Although I am highly motivated with my goals lets all remember that we don’t have to wait until the new year to change and that we can start over whenever we like. Here’s to a happy and healthy 2016.

Good luck with your SVQ! I did a childcare one but left early and didn’t complete it so honestly best of luck! I relate to a few of these such as going outside more (especially for walks) and I also really need to learn how to drive.

Thank you very much! I’m two months in and haven’t had a chance to do very much due to some life issues so I need to get my butt in gear to complete it on time! I hope we both manage to get out a little more 🙂 Thank you for the comment x

Good luck with learning to drive and earning your qualification, I’m sure you’ll achieve everything you want to!

Have you heard about the Help to Buy ISA? My boyfriend and I live with his parents at the moment and really want to get a place of our own so we signed up for one of these and it seems great!

Thank you so much! I may have to put off learning to drive until next year once I’ve saved up a little more but it’d be super handy to get started ASAP – we’ll see 🙂 Are you meaning An Instant Savings Account, yeah? We’re looking into a joint instant savings account but my partner isn’t so sure about it. For now, I have a personal savings account that is unused so we can put money into there if he prefers. We’re still looking into the options 🙂 I lived with my boyfriend’s parents for a bit as well. I promise you moving out is so great when you get the chance – I wish you all the best xoxo
