One Year On

It has been exactly one year since my last blog post. I hang my head in shame even writing that. I loved blogging. I loved the space that my little corner of the internet was. I loved the direction my blog was going in. I notice I have used the past tense but, in fact, I continually love all of these things. That is why I am back. I’m not sure what happened. Well, I do. I was newly single, I was newly unemployed and I was living alone for the first time ever. I was very preoccupied. I had my life planned out in detail and thought I was set for life – or at least until I was 25. Then, in a matter of 6 months, that plan was dropped, stood on, picked up again, torn to shreds and set alight. Some of you will think this is an acceptable reason for disappearing and others won’t. Either is fine. I just hope that you will open your heart, mind or e-mail subscription to me once again.

Over the last year, I have achieved many things including surviving unemployment, changing career paths, living alone with anxiety and overcoming dermatillomania. As well as this I have also lost many things including friends, money and several dozen socks.

I didn’t plan to reappear exactly one year on yet here I am. I actually write this on 12/04/17 and am going to take advantage of the timing. I am here because I love writing. I am here because I love discussing topics, struggles and everyday life with people who also enjoy writing. I am here because I have opinions and ideas that I would like to share whether they are agreed with and enjoyed or not. I am here because I spend far too much time in front of the television and not enough time in pursuit of inspiration. I am here because I have the drive to create, inspire and connect.

Many people dip in and out of this blog. If you are new then I welcome you and invite you to drop me a hello. If you are someone I previously connected with then I hope you are well, if not better, than when we last spoke.

I have several more posts to write and time is not on my side.
